This profound quote by the legendary footballer Pelé encapsulates the spirit of what we strive to foster at Government Degree College, Nankhari. Education, in our view, is not simply the accumulation of facts but the continuous journey of discovery, effort, and transformation. Our guiding motto, “तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु”, meaning “Let our knowledge be enlightening”, reflects our commitment to nurturing minds that not only learn but illuminate the world around them.
At GDC Nankhari, we believe that true education empowers students to become the best versions of themselves - intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. It is a holistic process where knowledge meets character, and where potential is nurtured with care, commitment, and purpose. We recognise that many of our students face unique challenges, including economic hardships, geographical isolation, and limited access to resources. Yet, time and again, they inspire us with their resilience. At GDC Nankhari, we believe that the true essence of success lies in the unwavering spirit to persevere, to rise after every fall, and to keep moving forward despite the odds.
Through vibrant student clubs, the NSS, Rovers & Rangers, and numerous community engagement initiatives, we instil a strong sense of social responsibility and civic awareness. These experiences shape students into thoughtful citizens who not only dream of a better world but actively contribute to building it.
